DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will continue this
afternoon across northwest Arkansas as moisture wraps around a
departing upper low. No severe weather is expected. Any
thunderstorms should dissipate quickly by early evening.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
A lull in precipitation is forecast Tuesday night. There is a low
chance of thunderstorms Wednesday morning and early afternoon
across northeast Oklahoma. More widespread showers and storms are
forecast across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas Wednesday
night through Friday. Storms will be capable of producing locally
heavy rainfall which may lead to areas of flash flooding or rises
on rivers and streams. The heaviest rainfall is expected to occur
across northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Periodic showers
and thunderstorms may impact the region early next week, but
uncertainty remains regarding timing and spatial extent.
