ONSET...Late Tonight. DISCUSSION... Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will continue this afternoon across northwest Arkansas as moisture wraps around a departing upper low. No severe weather is expected. Any thunderstorms should dissipate quickly by early evening. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. WEDNESDAY through FRIDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. SATURDAY...No Hazards. SUNDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. MONDAY...High Wind Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... A lull in precipitation is forecast Tuesday night. There is a low chance of thunderstorms Wednesday morning and early afternoon across northeast Oklahoma. More widespread showers and storms are forecast across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas Wednesday night through Friday. Storms will be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall which may lead to areas of flash flooding or rises on rivers and streams. The heaviest rainfall is expected to occur across northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.
